Small Business Association is an independent agency of the federal government, created in 1953 to aid, counsel, assist and protect the interests of small business concerns, to preserve free competitive enterprise and to maintain and strengthen the nation’s overall economy.

Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) is a program of The University of North Carolina System in partnership with the US Small Business Administration and a leading resource for growing and developing businesses.

US Department of Commerce is mandated to advance economic growth, jobs and opportunities with responsibilities in trade, technology, entrepreneurship, economic development, environmental stewardship and statistical research and analysis.

US Department of Commerce Minority Business Development Agency is the only federal agency created specifically to foster the establishment and growth of minority-owned businesses and is committed to wealth creation in minority communities.
